TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around finding a good visa agency in Bangkok for obtaining a retirement visa. Several users recommend agencies such as Manan Agency and Thai Visa Centre, emphasizing the need to be cautious of fraudulent practices and to keep agency fees reasonable. Some commenters suggest that applying for the visa independently is straightforward if all the documents are in order. The conversation also touches on nuances based on nationality and specific requirements depending on different Thai cities.

How much does the TVA charge for arranging a Thai retirement visa? I have the £800,000 bahrt but not in a Thai account but a UK account

Do not pay any agency more than 5000 baht. If you have the 800,000 baht you can do easily. If not the agent will get you a visa fraudulently. If big joke gets you it’s you that will pay the fine and go to prison not them.
