TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about trustworthy visa agencies in Pattaya for obtaining a retirement visa, with suggestions emphasizing the need to secure the retirement visa prior to arriving in Thailand. Comments suggest applying through the e-visa system at a Thai embassy before traveling and caution that while some agents may assist with extensions in Thailand, it's generally recommended to obtain the retirement visa beforehand to facilitate bank account openings and cost savings.

Get your visa before you arrive. Easier to open a bank account, and cheaper that way too.

not sure why you need one. Retirement visa is easy to get before you arrive. Then 12 month extension is cheap as chips.

the visas not that difficult, but you didn't say that you needed an agent because you needed them to provide the money.

You need to get the retirement visa before you leave for Thailand. You apply for it through the e-visa system from the Thai embassy in your country. Then once you get into Thailand, you can find an agent who can help you with the 1-year extension. But many agents can no longer obtain retirement visas inside of Thailand, so you need to get that before you go.
