Hello

This upcoming August, I’m planning ahead to move to Pattaya but Bangkok seems it may be easier. I have 2 Beautiful Doberman babies/grown. That’s why I say Bangkok maybe easier because of transport.

I’m getting us to the airport by U-Haul. Myself, luggage and 2 XL dog crates.

I’m seeking advice and assistance on how to get us from the Bangkok airport. Plus finding a Reputable Rental Agency for a fenced house moreover a Retirement Visa. I was planning to do the visa myself 🤷🏿‍♂️. Any help and the first round is on me.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is planning to relocate from the Bangkok airport to Pattaya with two dogs and is seeking advice on transportation and finding a rental agency for a fenced house. They are also inquiring about applying for a Retirement Visa. Responses emphasize the need to sort out the Non-O Visa before arrival, the process for relocating pets, and the challenges of securing long-term housing remotely.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

I will answer your questions without going off topic.

It may be difficult to find a place that is suitable for you and your dogs remotely. So taking a trip here without your dogs in order to secure a suitable house should be considered priority.

I am transporting my pet to Thailand using a “door to door” service that was recommended by a very satisfied friend who did the same to transport their pet. The company takes care of vet check ups, required vaccines and microchips as well as preparing required related documentation. They submit all required documentation to Thai customs and quarantine as well as take care of animal boarding, pick up and delivery.

Note: I quoted “Door To Door” service. Google it.

Recommend you scroll through past posts as the question about getting right visa and how to manage that process for yourself is asked frequently and has been answered countless times already.

I moved my dog (only one and smaller so ymmv) to Chiang Mai with no plans beyond a pet-friendly hotel for the first week. It’s easier to get a long term rental boots on the ground. We arrived on a visa exemption, too. Went to Vietnam to apply for DTV after making sure Thailand was a good fit for us. No agency for housing or visas.

There are pet taxis you could do from the airport, or a van maybe.

You're bringing the dogs but haven't sorted your non-O visa out first? You apply before arriving. Once issued you have 90 days to enter Thailand. Then get stamped in for 90 days. In that time you open the bank account, deposit the 800k tbt. Get list of what's needed from immigration office. Then when seasoned apply for 12 month extension based on retirement.

Lynnette Munoz Yes I have already thanks. That’s why I was just asking for transportation and visa assistance. I’m doing my Visa before I get there like I did when I came in October. But now I’m researching if I should do retirement Visa myself or use an agency

Kevin Ballard the Non-O you get before arriving IS the visa. You don't get another visa after you arrive. You do the bank, get list of what paperwork's needed at immigration, then go and get the 12 month extension of stay based on retirement, cost 1900 tbt.

If you want to sort your visa out yourself you will need a non O visa from your own country ,this is the only way you can open a bank account in Thailand ,once you have the account you will need to deposit 800,000bht from abroad this will allow you to get the 12 month extension to stay in Thailand.

Best to get permission for the dogs first, there is a process to follow for dogs to come to Thailand and special people who handle that.
