TLDR : Answer Summary
For a budget of around 800 BHT per night in Kanchanaburi, several hotel options were recommended by users. Notable mentions include: - **Good Times**: Offers pools, great food, and a peaceful atmosphere. - **Pong Phen**: Decent choice with breakfast included, known for having a safety box in the room. - **Smiley Frog**: Features a beautiful garden and view, popular among visitors. - **Sugar Cane**: A budget-friendly option. - **Blue Star**: Praised for its beauty, though the price is uncertain. - **Hop Inn**: Noted for cleanliness and being relatively new. - **The Zeit**: Provides a good riverside environment for a stay. Pong phen I’ve stayed there a couple of times,. Choice of around 3 different room types,. I wouldn’t fret over a room safe, I’ve never used one in my 11 trips to thailand,.

Do they have one? Agoda says they do?

It’s rare for any hotel to not have one,.if there isn’t one in room the reception can safely keep your valuables,.

Thailand is very safe (if you pardon the pun) low budget rooms normally don’t have safe boxes that work at least

Sorry but do you know if any of te above have safety box?

Safety boxes come with a master reset code set by the maker, something like 0 0 0 0 or 1 2 3 4. Hotel owners rarely change this master code and thieves know that.

So, I wouldn't rely on them too much
