My husband and I got our DTV’s for remote worker in Hong Kong. We didn’t apply at the same time, but both got approved though we did get asked for some more documents.

He is a Hong Kong born local with British passport, I’m a HK permanent resident with Australian passport.

It's a difficult Thai Embassy to get any Thai Visa.

Do you have resident status in HK ?

What's your passport nation?

What purpose for the DTV visa will you be applying for?

Anonymous participant AVOID HK...

Suggest you read the many posts on getting the DTV visa for workcation on this forum... there's several friendly Thai Embassy's and Consulates in SE Asia to apply for the DTV visa. BE sure to have the documents needed as required by the Thai Embassy or Consulate website.

Use the search 🔍 tool top of the forum page...

ENTER.. DTV visa workcation

CLICK on it and all posts about getting it will Pop Up to read the posts and experiences of others.

Stay in the country where you will apply for the DTV visa until you have it approved or not. And watch for replies to your application requesting ADDED documents or questions from the Thai Embassy or Consulate.

Anonymous participant as John Macom correctly said, you must hold the legal resident status of Macau to Apply FROM Macau. Even with that, the Thai Embassy in HK is a difficult one to get Visa approvals.

Thanks for the info. Actually I followed this group and related ones fairly well, or so I thought, and so far I didn't read many negative things about that. I was just about to prepare my docs in the coming days (I am HKPR, currently in HK, would be using HK bank account, am currently HK tax resident etc.) But I can go elsewhere if it is better, what would you suggest? According to the group maybe Saigon??

if you meet the requirements for the DTV visa from HK, go for it. There are several others who have replied to your post who have been successful in getting the DTV visa from HK. Look at their posts.
