What additional materials should I provide for my DTV application under the Workcation category?

I'm applying for the DTV under the Workcation category in HMC.

I've been asked: "Please provide details about your current work, including the examples of your work, along with any supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications."

I've already submitted:

* LinkedIn Profile PDF

* Employer Company Commercial License

* Employment Confirmation Letter

* Employment Contract

I don't know what else they want. I'm a VP of Engineering working full-time remotely (not a freelancer), so I don't have a traditional portfolio. I'm planning to submit a concise work summary outlining my role and responsibilities, along with a notarised copy of my university degree. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything else you think I should add? Thanks!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on what additional documents to submit for their DTV Workcation visa application in Thailand after presenting several standard documents, including their LinkedIn profile and employment confirmation. The community suggests adding a concise work summary, a CV, a notarized university degree, and possibly letters of recommendations, especially to clarify the nature of their remote work and ensure it aligns with the visa requirements.

When explaining your job to the embassy, try to describe it as if you’re talking to a young child—keep it simple and clear.

Clearly state the nature of your work. Here are some tips to strengthen your application:

1. If you do coding, you can submit a sample of your code to the embassy.

2. If you are an ERP consultant, attaching certificates from SAP or Oracle will be very helpful.

3. If you have been featured on any websites, include a link in QR code format so the embassy staff can easily access it.

Including your university degree and transcript is a big plus.

Adding real photos of yourself participating in university or workplace activities can also help enhance your credibility.

All of this will help convince the embassy that your employment letter or contract is real.

I myself applied in HCM in April. This is what I provided them :

- my degrees : French and Singapore : I just take photo and send them like that ( no need to get them notorised)

- experiences : I just screenshot some of my posts on my social media of my business trips , conference, events, meetings ( I selected 10 the most remarkable ones)

Include your company allows you to work in thailand. I made a recommendation letter for myself since im my own boss. Get a supervisor to do this for you include responsabilities etc. Also that YOUR INCOME COMES FROM OUTSIDE THAILAND AND YOU WONT SEEK LOCAL EMPLOYMENT as there are other visas for that. For your profile they might be trying to find out you dont have any thai local clients etc. good luck 🙏

so in my company letter, it specifically says I'm "permitted to work from any location outside of the company headquarters", and I have all the other proof regarding 6 months statements and payslips too. Let's see how it goes. Thanks for your message

Thanks. I already submitted a letter from my company that explicitly states, "Their role is fully remote, and they are

permitted to work from any location outside of the company headquarters". They would never mention that I don't plan to have other clients, as I work for one company, as stated in my application. I'm not a freelancer, and this is also mentioned in my company contract. The letter was stamped etc with all the details. I've also submitted the company license.

ohh ok yes because you work for a company they know the visa fees for the dtv are way cheaper than a regular business visa. I am 99% sure this is what is giving them trouble. Send that YOUR ACTIVITIES CLIENTS MONEY ETC OCCUR OUTSIDE OF 🇹🇭 this will satisfy the requirement . Good luck 🙏

As others have said CV and as you mentioned your degree etc. Thailand is strange about quals and certs. For a lower level position 25 years ago I had to show all degrees and Certs. For a higher position 6 years ago none needed to be shown. Your LinkedIn profile might help too. Good luck. Once the beauacracy is over it is plain sailing.

Hi Greg, thank you for your message. I already submitted my LinkedIn Profile as PDF, so I didn't need a CV too. Maybe I will add just to be safe. Thanks

They like paper overload in the main. The only place was BOI. They handed back the degrees and Certs. Said no need lol.
