What documents do I need to submit for a DTV visa as a professional freelancer?

Does anyone have a list of docs that they submitted as professional freelancer portfolio that led to the approval of a DTV visa? Im a producer, I go to Asian countries like Korea and search for source material and unique IP to license and bring back to the US to pitch and remake in Hollywood.

Important to note my pay comes from closing deals, I’m not a 9-5 worker and some deposits from a closed deal are months in between.

Here’s what I have but unsure if it’s enough or even what they want;

-bank statements (Wise) that reflect more than the amount of 500,000 THB.

- a 2025, 1099 from one of the clients for a sale with amount of sale

- letters with letterheads from Hollywood producers and companies stating intentions to do business and what kind of business (format business) and with who (Webtoon, Tapas, Netflix, Gordon Ramsey, Teddy Zee, etc)

- Articles from Variety and Deadline that state my move to bring formats from Asia to the US

- my companies articles of organization as an LLC

- LinkedIn profile link

What else should include in this if any? This has been so confusing and was about to pay for a visa attorney to do it but thought I’d ask here first.

Any help would be super appreciated! Thanks! I’ll have to name anyone who helps in my next TV Drama 😂

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a producer working in Asia, seeks advice on the documents needed for a DTV visa in Thailand. They listed several documents they already have, including bank statements, a 1099 form, and letters from Hollywood producers. Comments suggest adding personal bank statements instead of Wise, including a letter from their company about remote work, and clarifying their work situation to avoid a denial.

Wise is not a bank. They want bank statements and personal ones. Six months worth.

You need a letter from your company stating you can work there remote and won’t work there. At all.

Company registration if you have it.

Tax returns.

Ditch the article about bringing work to Asia they don’t care they don’t want you filming there this is not a visa for that.

You would need to explain why you are living in Thailand and where you re working like you enjoy Thailand but want to work in Korea to film perhaps but why ?

This sounds more like a chance of Denial.

You can keep it as simple as you manage the production company remotely from your laptop and will not work in Thailand for or with any Thai business’s. You’ve overthought this. Start over.

I applied in Los Angeles you can search my name and see what in submitted I was approved without needing additional documentation

Yes, you should Inc a letter of intent for the DTV plus as sole owner a letter giving yourself permission to work remotely in Thailand. Wise had been accepted for many approvals but for recently someone was denied an extension via a Wise account. Probably better to use a bricks n mortar bank account.

I think they will see this as working in Thailand, and not approve it.

why? My work is done online. All I do is send emails and decks all day long… I don’t actually go into offices.

The DTV is for online work only, you need to demonstrate work that is done online while in Thailand. I submitted a portfolio which highlights the work/tasks to be done online.

Yes, that is fine so you have to emphasize that as what you wrote comes across as in person work. ChatGPT is very useful.
