TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around whether to wait until after July 1 to sort out travel insurance and the Thai Pass for a trip to Thailand or to secure them beforehand. It also touches on visa options for Australians planning to stay for six weeks, suggesting that applying for a TR visa prior to departure would be more convenient, allowing for an initial 60 days stay with a 30-day extension.

If nothing changes on the 1st

You still have time to sort everything

Thai pass is easy to do now and insurance, you should have that already regardless if Thailand has their mandatory insurance or not .

It will be scrapped 1st July. 100% sure. Don't waste ur money on the scam insurance ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would apply for the TR visa before leaving which gives you 60 days extendable for 30 more days. Cheaper and less hassle than getting the extension in Thailand

Wait until sfter 1 Jul when insurance and Thai Pass should be finished.

You can enter with just your Austtralian passport and get a "Visa Exempt" stamp for 30 days. You can extend this for a further 30 days at any Immigration office in Thailand for an additional 30 days. On boarding you will need to show proof of two Corvid vaccinations or if not vaccinated then Pro-ATK/RT-PCR results (within 72 hours).
