TLDR : Answer Summary
It is advisable to renew your passport before applying for a visa extension. Since visa extensions cannot exceed the validity of your passport, and if you renew your passport after your visa extension, you might only receive a visa that is valid until your current passport's expiration date in March 2025. To avoid complications and ensure you get a full extension period, renewing your passport first is the best approach.

Yes I would be definitely renewing the passport, as your extension in June will only be until March 2025 when your passport expires. No extension can be longer than the validity of your passport.
When you apply for an extension, you will that extension until the earlier date of a specified period (such as 1 year, etc) or your passport validity. (There is no such thing as an "application for getting remaining days after passport renewal".)
If you are applying for a 1-year extension and want to get a full year, you need to have a passport valid for longer than 1 year from the extension starting date.
