Hello, I'm actually on a process to renew my non O visa based on a thai spouse (Visa under consideration) so I have already gave all the documents required and just wait for my next appointment. Do I need to keep the 400k thb on my thai bank during this period or it is fine I can move this money away?
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) is renewing their NON-O visa under a Thai spouse and is unsure if they need to maintain the 400k THB in their Thai bank account during the visa application process. Community members advised varying opinions; some suggested keeping the money until the visa extension is officially stamped, while others indicated it might not be mandatory to retain the funds in the account after receiving an 'under consideration' status from immigration. Ultimately, it is recommended to consult with the local immigration office for specific requirements.

I'm 'under consideration ' 'till my appointment on the 29th March with Chaiyaphum Immigration. They advised my wife on my behalf that when (hopefully) I get the extension the funds can be withdrawn immediately
Just keep in mind, for others, that the rules are different for retirement extension.... (No touch 2 months before or after (keep ,> 800) and no ever below 400)
this question and here's his to reply to me and suggest you use your best judgement...
"it's totally okay to spend the money after you apply for a marriage extension, at this time no office asks for a bank book once you get the under consideration stamp and go back to get the year inked in"
that you feel it's prudent to keep the funds in, doesn't mean that it's a mandatory thing, there are zero reports of even Chaengwattana <-(the only office that was asking for an updated bank book when you went to close the loop on a marriage extension) asking for it ...
AND
Chaengewattana (CW Immigration office in Bangkok) has gone to 3 week u/c stamps now "
Tod summed up with this:
"I would say that advising they leave it in is prudent, but not mandatory "
This aspect does seem to have changed in the past 2 years or at least at Chaeng Wattana . Last 2 years -turned up after the โ under consideration โ stamp on date requested and only asked to submit passport . Waited about 30 minutes and passport returned with year stamp .

I'd ask your immigration office but if it were me I'd not touch that money until the extension was inked in my passport
That question has been raised before... And I am one which believes it is best ๐ซ NOT to touch any Thai baht UNTIL you have the one year extension of stay STAMP in your passport.
Others on the forum have said that it's ๐ to spend any of 400,000 Thai baht.
Have you asked this question to your local Thai Immigration office? That way you will know what they require, if anything.
