I have applied for an visa extension based on marriage. Had the home visit etc and need to have my passport stamped with the extention in the next 2 weeks.

The B400k that is in my account was seasoned for 2 months prior to applying for extension, and I imagine I have to have the 400k in 2 months prior to next years application.

In the interim, am I able to use these funds or must they stay at 400k min at all times

Thankyou

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the rules regarding maintaining the balance of 400,000 baht in their bank account while waiting for a marriage-based visa extension in Thailand. They seek clarification on whether they can use the funds before getting the official passport stamp or if they must keep the balance intact. Responses suggest that while it's advisable to keep the funds until the extension is confirmed, there is no specific rule forbidding access to the funds as long as the required amount is maintained two months prior to the next yearly application.

We recommend people leave the funds in until you get the year extension inked in (during the under consideration period) but there is no rule that actually says you have to do that.

As long as the funds are at 400K baht 2 months before you apply for your next yearly extension you can draw down the account as you see fit
