Will changing my Muay Thai camp start date after getting my DTV visa cause issues with Thai immigration?

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the DTV visa. I’ve already received my visa, which was approved based on a Muay Thai camp booking. I haven't traveled to Thailand yet, and the camp is now asking for a confirmed start date. They need to cancel/re-issue my booking to update the dates.

My main concern is whether changing these dates after receiving the visa could cause any issues with immigration upon arrival. Does anyone have experience with changing their activity start dates post-visa approval? Do you think this might create a conflict with the documents submitted during the application process?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Answer summary
The user seeks advice on whether changing the start date of a Muay Thai camp, after receiving a DTV visa based on the original booking, could lead to issues upon entering Thailand. They have received various supportive comments indicating that changing the course dates should not cause immigration problems, provided the visa conditions are still met.

I have not heard of anyone having a problem because they changed the start date. The only way I could see that being an issue is if you came into the country and didn't start the classes. Example: Enter Thailand in July, but aren't planning to start the classes until next year.

A. Nony Mous Perhaps that's how the course understood it, and that's what they wanted to warn me about. (i think slight problem with course registrars communicating in English)

If it's on the file and will cause problems with immigration, what should I do? In the end, when I arrive, I'll have a 6-month visa, and the course is also 6 months long. I don't understand where the problem is here.

There is no prob with changing your course date. Once issued you have a multi entry visa and can enter and start your course as you please

The course starts on July 15th and lasts 6 months; it's Muay Thai.I told the course center that I wasn't ready yet, that I hadn't bought my plane ticket, and suggested we change the date so I could start when I arrived.they said in response : " So now you want me to change the date again? Please let me know start date as I have to cancel and re issue it But your visa is based on the dates they have on file just to be aware"
