Hi gang.

With your help ive completed and put application in for 1yr extension based on marriage.

I was to find out on Monday 10th feb if i recieve visa, but i see immigration offices are closed on 10th so i was thinking ill go on friday 7th.

Would you recomend calling my immigration office or do you think Friday 7th is the correct thing to do?

I hope ive not made too much of an idiot asking this , i guess calling would be the best.

Im an over thinker excuse me.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to call their immigration office regarding their one-year visa extension based on marriage or to visit the office on Friday, February 7th, since the office is closed on Monday, February 10th. Responses suggest that calling might be a good idea to confirm the status of the application, but visiting in person is also an option if the user lives nearby.

Okay, and time to close. The Immigration law is used Nation wide,

Sorry, not every office has their own rules, some are more lenient than others with the rules and some have to find a way that works for every body. I just look in another way, like half full or half empty glass.

In Jomtien where lots of elderly people living the system is that the final signature for the "retirement" extension gets done during the day, so you pick up your passport the next day. In other offices where it is not that busy, they do it directly.

Based on marriage goes under consideration for 30 days, you pick up the stamps on the last day mentioned in that stamp.

Give them a call Friday morning and ask if the documents are ready. If not it is no problem to visit Tuesday the 11th.

1. I'm sure you're nervous if your extension was approved, BUT as long as you meet the criteria for the extension, you got the extension. I never seen anyone get rejected for it as long as their documents are real and valid.

2. If you live close by to the immigration office, I suppose you can walk in and ask. If not, you can pick up your passport on the 11th.

i met all the requirements , and the IO were helpfull .

I just dont want to make a school boy error after getting so far. The IO is about 30km away , which isnt a major issue , just thinking the Friday to be sure.

I overthink brilliantly.
