Hello

I'm am in Jakarta and trying to get the flight back to Thailand on the 15th/October, I am legally married to a thia lady and have children also. My question is do I only apply for a tourist visa to enter or the type O visa when applying for my certificate of entry from the Thailand embassy here in Jakarta, i have a retirement visa which is still current but expires on the 26th of September 2020 . As you have to submit it by post here I don't want to get caught out.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about which visa to apply for in order to return to Thailand from Jakarta, considering they are married to a Thai woman and have children. They mention having a retirement visa which is about to expire, and they inquire if a tourist visa suffices or if they should apply for a Non-O visa based on their marriage. Responses from the community suggest that a Non-O visa is the best option for their situation, as it accommodates family ties, and they should consult the embassy for guidance.

First of all if the airlines are not back to their normal schedule the only choice for you to get to Thailand is on a repatriation flight. These flights are expensive. If you want to take one of these flights, having a Thai wife qualifies you to do so. But you must go to the Thai embassy to fill in all the forms to do so. Thailand is only accepting 200 people per day on these flights from all countries combined.

Non-imm O visa based on family (wife and kids) is the only visa which will get you back in (it is a good one for that purpose). The embassy should advise you.

. Sounds good. Check with the embassy there to see exactly what they need to see. You also have to book two weeks in one of the quarantine hotels.
