Covid extension. My country NZ is now fully open to everyone. 1.Does that kill any chance of asking for a covid extension ?

2. Do you need a letter from your own countries embassy to apply ?

Thank you ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The reopening of New Zealand (NZ) may not significantly impact the chance of obtaining a Covid visa extension in Thailand, as visa extensions are still being handled by local immigration offices. It is advised to inquire directly with the local Thai immigration office for specific requirements. Additionally, contacting the NZ embassy is recommended to determine if they can provide the necessary letter for the extension application.

OP should have enough information for his extension. If still have something unclear, please contact one of the moderators to re-ope this post.

Although OP didn't specify his province, we are not going to list the requirement from all the immigration offices. Thank you for your contribution.

It didn't effect me for visa extensions even though UK has been open for a long while. I think the extensions are coming to an end though. They are asking for ongoing flights, to anywhere in order to get the extension.

no flight bookings required for bangkok (or embassy letter) If your visa office is immigration division 1 they are most simple and easy but if your immigration office is it square make sure to print off your hotel booking + if you have appointment you must print it out too. (along with everything else standard)

Ask your local Thai immigration office for their list of requirements for the COVID extension.
