Hi all, I have a question regarding reporting 90 days in samutprakan with a new address.

I will be moving in to my Thai partner's home in samutprakan and so he will need to file a TM30 report for me. My questions are:

1. What are the steps for him to report for me and what document will he need to give me after?

2. What documents will I need to bring with me for my 90 days report after moving to a new address?

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To report a new address for the 90-day check-in in Samut Prakan, your Thai partner must complete the TM30 report. The steps include visiting the Immigration Office to fill out the TM30 address registration form and providing necessary documentation such as a copy of your passport and any previous 90-day report. After filing, you will receive a registration note. Alternatively, you can register your address online using the official website or app. For your 90-day report, bring your passport, the previous 90-day report, and the registration note.

Corrrection: When you do trips within Thailand your partner will only have to file the TM 30 form or online upon return if you stayed not in a hotel or condo but in another private residence (here the house owner would have to file a TM 30 for your temporary stay) or return from abroad.

thanks for the heads up. So when he fills out a new one, I'll have to do the 90 days in person again with the new form in person?

two different issues. Reporting of residence with TM 30 has to be done within 24 hours counting from the arrival in the country or a new residency, e.g. if you go on a trip. Normally the hotels or condo do it but if you stay at a private residence, the owner, in this case your partner, has to file it. Again, it can be done via app so no problem. The 90 day reporting with form TM 47 is a report that you have to file every 90 days. So the first one is due 90 days from when you arrive in Thailand. If you move within the country you do not have to file a new TM 47 until the 90 days are up but a TM 30.

I need to correct myself in one respect after talking to immigration in Samut Prakan yesterday. When a Thai files a TM 30 for a foreigner at her/his address and the foreigner leaves to stay at a hotel (e.g. for travelling in Thailand) and returns to the same address there is no need to file the TM 30 again upon his/her return. The only exception is if the foreigner stays temporarily at another private residence (e.g. a friend), who has then to also file a TM 30. In this case upon return of the foreigner you have to file a new TM 30 or use the app. The same applies of course if the foreigner leaves Thailand and returns.

Option 2, register on the website or phone app and report the address using the website or app.

Make the 90 day onlin report on line.

These are the three options, print the one you use:

I think we will go the online route for TM30. Is there something we will need to print?

Step 1, visit the Immigration Office and fill in the TM30 address registration form, provide the asked copies. You will get a note from the Immigration Office that your address is registered.

2. your passport, your older 90 day report if you have done before and the note from address registration.
