I have a question about the RT- PCR test. If you’re a keyboard warrior refrain from commenting! Is the RT- PCR the same as a fit to fly PCR?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The RT-PCR test is regarded as a standard procedure when traveling to Thailand, and while there may be some confusion regarding its terminology, it is important to understand that a fit to fly PCR test and RT-PCR test are essentially the same for travel purposes. Some comments indicate that the term 'fit to fly' is not a standardized category and could denote various health checks, but in the context of travel to Thailand, an RT-PCR test is typically what is needed for compliance with entry requirements. Overall, travelers should ensure they are obtaining the correct test as specified by their airline or destination.

I asked the same question to express test and their fit to fly is and stated on the resulting e-mail as such

ABSOLUTELY *YES* - In Thailand they call it an RT-PCR, and I had Panic Stations as I booked a PCR test and the results from the London 24 hour Lab were written PCR-(RT)... It threw so much Anxiety my Way and was just about to cancel everything until I received the Result, so please do not stress my Friend..... All PCR tests are RT-PCR tests - Enjoy your Holiday........

- I must be Honest to you, as I was Flapping around in London and having spent the Money on a PCR test, one of my Tenants, told me to calm the FcKK down as I was like a demented Chicken...... She's a Nurse and I was going on her word - Well for my personal Experience seeing the words (RT) in brackets in my email results was good enough for me...... Garrett, the irony was that all had gone so well up to that - ☘️ - cheers for putting me Straight Buddy - 🙏

yeh i was going to use the airport station but my flight is at 11am so it’s not possible to get it done there. I think I will go to a randox centre the day before and pay for a 1-3 hour test result
