What is the difference between the Fit to Fly health certificate and the Covid-19 RT-PCR test, and where can I get them in London?

I’m confused with the “Fit to Fly health certificate” and “Covid-19 RT-PCR test”.

They’re two different things right?

So I have to get two different tests to satisfy both?

Also anyone got any recommendations to get Fit to Fly Cert and Covid PCR tests? Im from London

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Fit to Fly health certificate and the Covid-19 RT-PCR test are two distinct requirements for travelers. The Fit to Fly certificate is an assessment by a doctor confirming that a traveler is healthy enough to fly, while the RT-PCR test is a laboratory test to check for Covid-19. Travelers typically need to obtain both a Fit to Fly certificate and a RT-PCR test to comply with travel regulations. Recommended places in London for these services include Medicspot for both certificates and tests, and Assured Screening for RT-PCR testing, with online consultations available for the Fit to Fly certificate.

Use Dr. Donna Robinson. I believe it's about 10 British Pounds. Her certificates are approved.

Just done home covid test in London through Assuredscreening.com, drop location at Kings Cross. Highly recommended, paid 109 pounds delivered next day, collection box 8pm Kings Cross, next day results by email and it's RT-PCR test as required for Thailand & Singapore.

Secondly doing my online fit to fly online consultation tonight with Bangkok doctor for 400 Baht, medconsultasia.com

they are indeed 2 separate things. i haven't flown into Thailand but i've been to work sites that require 'em.

the fit to fly thingy is basically just a note from your docto saying you've got no symptoms.

Fit to Fly isn't a test. A doctor will ask you some questions, look you over and decide if you're healthy enough to fly. RT-PCR is the test.
