How many days before my non-B work visa expires should I apply for an extension in Thailand?
I'm an American with a non-b work visa that expires on May 14th. How many days before must I apply?

Apply for what? If you also hold the work permit and work in Thailand you can with help of your employer apply 30 days before the last day for an 1 year Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office. If your company can not meet the requirements you need new company papers and visit a Thai Consulate or Embassy for a new Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa, which will give you another 90 days of stay.
