I have DTV and was recently offered a local job with short term contract. Is it worth to give up DTV for Non-B?
Answer summary
The question raises a concern about whether it is worthwhile to relinquish a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in order to obtain a Non-B (business) visa after securing a local short-term job in Thailand. The discussion that follows touches on common confusions between visa types, specifically distinguishing between visa exemption and visa on arrival, with participants clarifying the current rules around each.

Lee Robinson It will change 15 days after it is published in the Royal Gazette. I assume they are giving grace to those that have already booked some months in advance.
Peter Forsgren I will explain for you ,if you get a stamp in your passport for 30-60 days this is a visa exemption stamp allowing you to stay in Thailand for 30-60 days without a visa
Visa on arrival is 15 days. You are asking about entering without any visa at all, called Visa Exempt assuming your passport allows that. It remains at 60 days at the moment
