TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around advice for individuals planning to run a Back-to-Back (B2B) visa trip to Thailand from Vientiane, with participants sharing personal experiences and concerns about visa stamping and new immigration rules. Key points include the lack of required proofs at the Friendship Bridge, the potential for receiving a warning stamp after multiple tourist visas, and reports of heightened scrutiny for repeat B2B travelers.

No because they brought the new rule in 2017 not 16
, Oh, you are talking about the rule that started on Dec 31st 2016 limiting 30 day visa exempt entries by a land border to TWO in a calendar year.
The O/P is asking about getting back-2-back tourist visas from a thai consulate.

No the two stamp limit boss not the warning stamps

not true :/ ,
the rules about warning stamp have been in place at most consulates for several years now.
Here's a Vientiane warning stamp from 2009.

I'm about to get my second B2B. There is another one in the passport, but there is a six month gap. Would that warrant a stamp ?

You can usually pull 4 tourist visa in Vientiane before they stamp your passport with the warning.
Make sure you check the visa after they stamp it into your passport (they don't use stickers anymore there).
You might very well get the "warning" stamped into your passport that says;
"Remark: the holder of this passport has traveled to thailand several times on tourist visas and may result in denial of a visa in the future".

Third time back to back in Vientiane? I thought it was not possible anymore. I remember a guy posting about third B2B maybe a month ago and it seem like they were rejecting everyone that day.
