What are the risks of returning to Thailand from Laos with a single-entry tourist visa?

Hello, I arrived here with a single-entry tourist visa that I extended by one month, the exemption ending next week. I plan to go to Nong Khai and make a round trip from Thailand to Laos and Thailand during the day. What is the risk with immigration on returning to the Thai border? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster has a single-entry tourist visa that has been extended for one month and is planning a same-day trip to Laos from Nong Khai. They are concerned about potential immigration issues upon returning to Thailand. Community members reassured them, stating that as long as they process their exit and entry correctly, they should be fine at the border. It's suggested to use an experienced border run service to navigate the process, especially considering the poster's history of staying in Thailand during COVID-19.

I arrived in Thailand in May, this will be my first time leaving the country, I think it should be okay with immigration.

I applied for an e-visa through my home country in Paris. I plan to stay here for another two months or maybe three if I do the exemption. Thank you.

you're fine, just bounce out and back and you'll get 60 days

what I was referring to is your recent history of staying in Thailand. If you have been outside of Thailand during the past year .. not a problem.

Where did you get the SETV single entry tourist visa?

In your home country or in a nearby SE Asian country Thai Embassy or Consulate?

You should be okay by doing a land border crossing entries into Thailand.

You will get a 60 days stamp on arrival. That can be extended for 30 ADDED days at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Even though you have experience with doing border bounces ....

I would Suggest you use an experienced border run service company to take you to do the same day border bounce.

Especially as you had a recent history of staying in Thailand during COVID-19 with extensions for several years.

Be sure to tell the border run service company your passport nation and recent history of staying in Thailand.

If they accept you for the border bounce, you will be okay.

Good Luck 🍀
