Is this a good time to go to Bangkok? I’m looking to spend a couple months in Asia.. was thinking of Vietnam 🇻🇳 instead since the earthquake. Thoughts?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among the comments is that Bangkok remains a safe destination to visit despite recent seismic events nearby. Although there were some structural issues due to an earthquake in Myanmar, Bangkok itself was largely unaffected. Travelers are advised to check the structural integrity of their accommodations, particularly high-rise buildings, but overall, visiting Bangkok is considered a good option, especially as fewer tourists may lead to a more appreciated experience.

Bangkok is fine. Just make sure to check the structural integrity of the hotel you’re looking to book if it’s anytime soon as some have been damaged

Don't believe anything you see on media or especially social media reels ,most of its AI fake and bad taste ,Go to Bangkok as the last thing it needs is a dip in tourism 🙏🏼

You can't get away from earthquakes, unless you move to Mars... Research fault lines, as some countries are more prone to them than others.. I don't believe Bangkok for one has any nearby fault lines itself... Also research surrounding countries that may be more prone to them than others, like Japan, California, and Alaska has high odds as an example

Bangkok has been pretty much unaffected by this bar a few places.

Yes there has been the issue of the SAO building collapsing and loss of life, which is horrible and a few other issues with some buildings needing inspections but overall fairly unscathed if that’s a term that’s “allowed”.
