Hi, did anyone get a tourist visa (60 day) in the thai embassy in vientiane, laos? Is it possible?
We have an Israeli nationality (no other residence) if that matters. We were in Thailand two weeks ago on 30 day visa exemption + 30 day extension.
Thank you ๐๐ผ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The query pertains to obtaining a 60-day tourist visa from the Thai embassy in Vientiane, Laos, specifically for individuals holding Israeli nationality. It's possible to acquire this visa, but an online appointment is required. Additionally, proof of 20,000 baht (or equivalent) in a bank account for at least three months is necessary. The processing time is approximately three working days. Alternatively, applying at the Thai consulate in Savannakhet allows for walk-up applications with a quicker two-day processing time.
Remember you need to BOOK an online appointment at the thai consulate in Vientiane to get IN the gate to apply for a visa
you need to show 20K baht or the equivalent in a bank account for 3 months before you apply for the visa

You could go to the thai consulate in Savannakhet Lao (across the river from Mukdahan Thailand). They allow walk up application, you only show the 20K baht or equivalent in a bank account on the day you apply, and they have a 2 working day processing (ex; apply Monday morning, get your passport back Tuesday afternoon)
