Is it okay to cancel my World Trip insurance after getting my Thailand pass approved?

Hi,

I am going to Bangkok next month. The thing is, I already bought an insurance from World Trips but I am having problem accessing their website since few days back. I did email their support but they never reply.

Now, I am planning to cancel it since I found another travel insurance from my home country (at competitive price!) that do cover Covid-19 (up to 50k USD) while traveling and some other benefits that I found useful such as travel delay, loss of money / credit card.

But the thing is, I already got my Thailand pass approve with my World Trip insurance. Is it okay to proceed with World Trip insurance cancellation so that I can buy the new travel insurance?

Thanks!

I am not sure whether Thai gov approved my Thai Pass because I got World Trip insurance? I thought there are only selective insurance providers that Thai gov approve? Correct me if i'm wrong

No, any insurance company is fine, just has to cover you in Thailand

I saw someone comment in another post mentioning they bought insurance and then apply for Thailand Pass. Once their Thailand Pass got approve, they just cancel the insurance. Basically, they enter Thailand without any insurance at all ๐Ÿฅฒ

they are not. None of the dirt cheap, budget insurance for ThaiPass will do a thing. They are just for show
