Hi, I'm looking for travel insurance (including against COVID) for Thailand. My situation is as follows:
I arrived in Thailand on December 11 on a 60-day tourist visa. My insurance for Thailand Pass was from Tipinsure (Dhipaya), covering only COVID-related expenses. I also had a 2-month general travel insurance on my credit card.
Both those insurance policies expire today, but I have extended my visa and intend to stay in Thailand until April 3. Therefore, I would like to buy new insurance.
It should be a single policy covering general-purpose travel issues (including trekking and snorkelling / skindiving) as well as COVID (including expenses related with hospitel / hospital stays after an asymptomatic positive test).
The policies I see on the Internet are mostly for when you're not in the country yet (for Thailand pass). Do you have any advice?
Oh, I already contacted Mrs. Namak, just curious if anyone can recommend something from their own experience.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking recommendations for a travel insurance policy that covers general travel issues and COVID-19 related expenses while staying in Thailand with an extended tourist visa. They require insurance that accommodates activities like trekking and snorkeling, and applicable coverage for hospital stays after a positive COVID-19 test. Previous insurance policies from Tipinsure and a credit card have expired, and they are looking for suitable options available after their arrival in Thailand.
