Just got back to UK from Thailand and noticed I have no departure stamp on my passport. Is this the norm now or is this going to cause issues on next entry?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers using eGates in Thailand may not receive a departure stamp in their passport, as this process records exits electronically. This practice has been standard for some time, and it is generally not an issue for future reentry, provided that the exit is logged in the immigration system. However, some official processes, like visa applications, may require proof of exit.

Normal for e-passports, all your entry and exit is stored in their system

Norm now with the eGates. I think it would only matter if someone wanted proof. That lad who posted on Friday was asked by the Thai Embassy London to show an exit stamp for his DTV application to continue.

it is the norm, no issues on reentry as your departure is recorded.

You went through the eGates so there's no stamp, but you're recorded as having left so it's all good
