Hi, I've just flown into Thailand from Malaysia and have noticed that the TM6 departure card has not been stamped by immigration but my passport has. Is this an issue or is it Ok? I am currently here on a visa exemption.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users have confirmed that it is not unusual for the TM6 departure card to remain unstamped, as the important validation for your stay is the stamp in your passport. This situation does not pose any issues and is fairly common among travelers.

there is no issue having a departure card without an entry stamp. The stamp that lets you stay here is the one in your passport

Look on the back of the card. That's where they stamped my last one.

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately no stamp there either.

I guess you already left the airport, so time to change directly when you suppose the check is gone.

Immigration Officers are just normal people doing a job. They make mistakes, but on the spot it take a few minutes to correct. Otherwise it will be at least a half day at Immigration Office and that is a waste of time during your holiday. Enjoy your stay inside Thailand.

Thanks Robert, I checked my passport stamp and saw that I had the card, but it wasn't till I got to the hotel and noticed that the departure card wasn't stamped. Will be more vigilant in future. Thank You!

Thank you Joe! Passport stamp is correct.

Nope, they won't let you go back into the security area. As
@R**
mentioned not a problem. But we announce many times check the stamps and dates directly when you get your passport back.

If it's just the departure card, I wouldn't worry about it. If they got the stamp in your passport wrong, that is another story.

sorry I don't understand. Yes I have already left the airport. Time to change? Should I go back and ask them to stamp it?

Not a problem or unusual
