In reference to the DTV visa application, is it necessary for the 500,000 baht to be deposited in the account for at least three months? I possess more than the required amount, but it has not been deposited for the stipulated three-month period. Also, have any individuals experienced difficulties with their applications in the US? My wife submitted her application two weeks ago, and it is still being "processed".

TLDR : Answer Summary
The necessity of having 500,000 baht deposited for three months may vary by embassy, and it is generally not a typical requirement in the US. Some embassies could require a longer duration, and processing times for visa applications may differ, usually taking up to 4 weeks. It’s recommended to check specific embassy guidelines for requirements and processing times.

Some Embassies will need to see the 500.000 Baht to be in the account for 6 months

Read the Embassy website for their requirements, There you can also be lucky to find out how long time the Embassy normally need to process the application.

Remember that asking for additional documentation can reset the clock to zero

I used the Los Angeles Consulate last November.

My account had a LOT more than the minimum amount. I submitted a screenshot of my bank app. 2 weeks later they requested more information and I sent a photo of my latest month bank account on my computer. That was sufficient.

2 weeks later it was all approved.

Be patient.

Make sure you significantly exceed thr minimum amount.

It depends on the embassy if the 500k needs to be seasoned for 3 months., it is not a usual requirement in the US though. Embassies in the US can take up to 4 weeks to approve, each embassy differs with the length of approval.
