Is it true that you need to show the full 500.000 in your bank when you re enter after you 6 months in Thailand in up ?
Answer summary
No, you typically do not need to show the full 500,000 THB in your bank account when re-entering Thailand after 6 months. Instead, travelers may be asked to show proof of having at least 20,000 THB in cash or an equivalent amount in other currencies. This requirement generally applies to all arriving passengers and while immigration may occasionally check, many travelers report not being asked for these funds at all. It's advisable to have cash, a return ticket, and necessary documents ready, but bringing the entire amount in a bank statement is not necessary.

You don’t need to bring the physical cash with you. You just have to show you have the funds. I’ve never had to bring physical cash just saying that I had the funds but I also have family here.
For the DTV? No but bring 29 thousand baht cash with you, a return ticket and all documents so they can’t use this to refuse you if they are looking for this.
Is that for people looking to get visa on arrival or DTV holders as well? I know DTV is a tourist visa but you’ve obviously declared and been approved on funds to get the visa… I wasn’t aware anyone with a DTV would still potentially be asked that
Jord Reep I believe anyone entering can be asked that. Although I’ve been in twice on my DTV and many times in other visas and never been asked for proof of funds.
