TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the feasibility of applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, especially for Chinese passport holders. Responses indicated that Malaysia may present challenges in obtaining approval for the DTV visa, with application times potentially ranging from 3 to 6 months. Alternative locations such as Jakarta, which reportedly has a friendlier stance towards Chinese applications, were suggested. Additionally, popular Muay Thai gyms in Thailand that accommodate DTV visa holders were mentioned.

Malaysia is the most difficult embassy to gain approval for the DTV e.g 3-6 months of 500K, 6 months of accommodation booked in Thailand, Jakarta i hear is more friendly to Chinese applications recently. Tiger Eye in Bangkok, and Muay Thai Fever chiang Mai are popular MT gyms and DTV compliant.
