TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the application process for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) and asks whether online applications or making an appointment in person is better. Comments provide insights on the convenience of applying in different locations in Southeast Asia, highlighting Jakarta and Yangon as good options, while mentioning challenges in Malaysia and suggesting Laos for potentially smooth processing if done through agencies.
jakarta was good before as i heard but too many people go there for walk-ins.... malaysia is a tough place, if your documents are missing , they might reject you. laos is good but you need to make an appointment or cooperate with some agencies which might get you in for walk-in interviews.... i used laos and malaysia before for tourist visa and i was happy with their service.
Anonymous participant got it. if you dont have any other options you can try and agency for the visa. malaysia is pretty good actually, penang was easy, kuala lumpur was strict but they were helpful. good luck
