Has anyone applied for a DTV in Kuala Lumpur? How was it? How long did it take? I'm in KL now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Several expats shared their experiences with the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) application in Kuala Lumpur. One user reported a rejection after multiple requests for documentation, indicating a challenging application process. However, another user successfully obtained their DTV approval in 12 business days, noting that extensive documentation was required, including CVs and bank statements. Interviews or additional documentation requests can also be part of the process for applicants.
I applied and got approved their last month under freelance. They wanted to see CV, bank statements for 6months, 6 last payslips, explanation letter, working contract authenticated from council of country of the company I am working for incl. Company registration as well with authentication of federal counsil. It took 12 business days and the process was straightforward.

My friend did - got it
But KL would invite you for an interview and would ask more documents
kl is the strictest embassy to get approved from e.g 6 mths of booked accommodation, docs certified by your embassy, 500K THB seasoned for 3+6 months..Easier to apply in Indonesia, Vietnam, laos. Or Cambodia
