TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether Emirates travel insurance fulfills the health insurance requirements for a Non-O retirement visa, particularly in relation to outpatient coverage. Responses suggest that likely it does not cover outpatient needs, and highlight that a Non-O retirement visa does not typically require extensive health insurance beyond Covid-19 coverage, contrasting it with the Type OA retirement visa which does have a health insurance requirement.

Umm, for a type O retirement visa there is no health insurance requirement, other than the covid-19 coverage. The type OA retirement visa has the health insurance requirement.

appears to be a requirement as uploads of document for it are needed when applying online in the UK.

from my understanding there are no type O retirement visas being issued outside of Thailand now. They are all type OA retirement visas, that do require health insurance.

noted. Probably come in on a tourist visa and change to non o retirement in country. I can soon nip up to an immigration office and sort that.

I'm not 100% sure - but I think "no" is the likely answer.
