Hi I am extending 12 months non-O retirement visa. For previous years health insurance was not required- is it now mandatory ? Am I correct to say the earliest renewal is 45 days before expiry date, and funds must be in account 60 days before application ?
Many thanks ๐๐ป Wish you all a lovely day from Phangan ๐ด

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for health insurance when renewing a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand depends on the type of visa issued. Health insurance is not mandatory for those entering on a Non-O visa but is required for a Non-OA visa. Regarding renewal, the earliest you can apply varies by immigration office, with some allowing applications 45 days before expiry and others as early as 30 days. Additionally, funds must be maintained in a Thai bank account for 2 months prior to the application, not 60 days as often stated.

CHECK your passport. IF you entered on a Non-O visa (or purchased a Non-O visa inside Thailand), then health insurance is NOT required. If you entered on a Non-OA visa, then health insurance IS required.
> Am I correct to say the earliest renewal is 45 days before expiry date,
Depends on your immigration office; some are 45 days, others are 30. I do not know what your immigration office policy is.
>funds must be in account 60 days before application
The 800K THB must be seasoned in aThai bank account for 2 months, not 60 days.

And must remain untouched for two (three) month after extension and throughout the year MUST NOT fall below 400K
for me at 76 outrages price however I'm 100 Percent covered on my major medical problem, presumed caused by government service and 75 on the rest but by my Government not a insurance policy. For me a total waste of money to have what is a worthless paper to me.
