TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's inquiry concerns the validity of Chamchuri Square Building as a location for extending a tourist visa in Bangkok. Responses indicate that this location is not permissible for Visa extension, with users advising that extensions must be processed at designated offices like Chaengwattana or Muang Thong Thani.
And by tourist visa you mean before you came here you BOUGHT a tourist visa from a thai consulate in your country and when you arrived you were stamped in for 60 days right?
IF you are on a real 60 day tourist visa entry you go to the Chaengwattana Immigration office and you want Counter J. There is no need to make an appointment because that's not a busy counter and you won't wait long in the queue.
it is running and allegedly they fixed the "glitch" but for Counter J at Chaengwattna it doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not, there are so few people they just tell you to sit down and wait
