TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a tourist visa extension in Bangkok, the TM6 arrival/departure card is generally not required for air arrivals, as it has been canceled for over a year. However, if you entered Thailand by land, you may still need a TM6. Additionally, ensure to check with local immigration regarding the need for a TM30 form from your hotel.

You may require a TM6 if you entered by land as only entries by air have temporarily suspended the TM6

As TM6 no longer on use is there still required visit to Immigration where you are staying with copy of passport and airport arrival stamp?

i noticed that earlier this week when returning to Thai…Airport Immigration also didnt seem to care where I was staying. (I am on Retirement visa). I know it is classed as day 1 but I thought I would try to ‘recomfirm’ my address via the 90 day onlime portal, but it was not accepted as it said the reporting was not due yet. I am staying in same condo, so is the above normal now without the TM6?

I don't know the interaction of airport immigration with TM90 unfortunately. I also don't know if they use the same day 1 counting method
