Hello All,

I have to extend stay from a tourist visa (60 days originally to 90 days), where is the nearest place that I can come to register? I’m staying in Narabotanic (near IKEA Bangna). Thanks a lot for your kind advice.

A user is seeking advice on where to extend their tourist visa from 60 to 90 days while staying near Narabotanic in Bangkok. The community advises that if the user's address is in Bangkok, they should go to the Chaengwattana Immigration Office, while if the address is in Samut Prakan, they should go to the local immigration office there.

If your current address is in Bangkok, Chaengwattana is the place you need to go, If your address is in Samut Prakan, you need to go to Samut Prakan Immigration Office.

Ok so you can use The Samutprakarn office located at Pak Nam.

The first time you use this office they will ask for your TM30

If you or your landlord did not do the TM30 when you arrived they might fine you 1600.-

You could plead ignorance as it’s your first time but then that’s up to the officer.

Thanks a lot Paul. I don’t understand the rule 24hr! My case will be like this, my visa 60 days will be expired by end Nov, and I want to apply for 30 days extension before the expiration date. So is it possible?

Samut Prakan immigration office is hot on the TM30 so if you did not report to them within 24 hours of arrival they may fine you. Other than that it’s a good office to use and much easier to get to if you live on this side of town.

Basically,

- TM.7 application for extension

- a passport sized photo

- copy of the data (ID) page of your passport

- copy of your visa

- copy of your entry stamp

- copy of your TM.6 departure card

- 1900baht fee

If you go Chaengwattana, okay with these.

Samut Prakan, might be okay but I don't know there so maybe you can ask the Immigration Office
