Hello. I’m asking for my friend who is an Australian. He has a flight for next week and plans on returning at the end of the summer. Whether that return is possible, I do not know. Time will tell. He currently holds a work permit as a teacher here in Chiang Mai.
My question is.
Is BKK issuing re entry permits to foreigners?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired whether Bangkok is currently issuing re-entry permits for foreigners, particularly for an Australian teacher in Chiang Mai with plans to travel. Responses confirmed that re-entry permits are being issued, provided that the borders reopen and his visa or work permit is still valid. It was also noted that Chiang Mai immigration issues permits regardless of the departing airport.
Thank you gentlemen. Currently his non b and work permit were renewed recently as my understanding goes.
I had forgot that Chiang Mai immigration will issue a re-entry permit regardless of the departing airport. I must have thought only about CNX not issuing it if your international flight isn’t CNX.
He holds a work permit? Does he work for this company, does he keep on working for this company? Depending on answer we can tell what your friend has to do with his work permit.
Depending on the stay in his passport he might need to cancel this stay before leaving the country, so it would be just guessing to answer that question
