VISA Run after 2 covid extensions. Is Malaysia land border run good option? Via Air?

Answer summary

The discussion revolves around the feasibility of doing a visa run to Malaysia after having two COVID-related extensions on a visa in Thailand. Several comments suggest that a visa run can be successful, with previous experiences highlighting the lack of issues when using a multiple entry visa. The location influences the choice of border run; for those in southern Thailand, Malaysia is seen as a good option, while for others in places like Pattaya or Northern Thailand, alternatives such as Laos may be more favorable.

Good option if in southern Thailand, not so good if in Pattaya or Northern Thailand. It depends on where you are...

Laos is the friendliest of all options

Visa run as in going somewhere to get a new visa or a border bounce to enter exempt?

use a border bounce company (aka “visa run” service). They “pre-grease” the wheels.
