Could someone please explain the current Covid-19 visa extension schedule? I've read the 30th January articles in two different publications and they are both confusing.
In my case, my current Covid-19 extension is up 28 February. I applied again on 27 January for an additional 60 days and am "under consideration" until 15 March. When I return on 15 March and hopefully be approved....that extension will be valid until approximately 28 April - correct? Then, as I understand it, I could then apply for the last extension on or about 28 April which would be good until 30 May.
Is that correct? Thanks for your help.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is seeking clarification on their Covid-19 visa extension schedule, specifically regarding their timeline for applying for extensions. They currently have a Covid-19 extension set to expire on February 28, and applied for an additional 60 days on January 27, which is under consideration until March 15. The inquiry involves whether the extension, if approved, will be valid until the end of April, and if they can apply for a final extension thereafter, by approximately April 28, to extend until May 30. A comment clarifies that while the new extension would indeed start from March 15 if approved, there is uncertainty beyond that date as the rule for applying for extensions is set to expire on March 30.
