TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand on a multiple entry visa (such as a METV), it generally does not matter whether you cross the border by land or fly. However, actual entry can depend on your visa type and your previous entry history. It's also advised to prepare proof of your travel history, especially if you are using the visa frequently. While both entry methods are valid, some users suggest that using land borders may result in fewer questions from immigration compared to air travel, especially if you have recently obtained multiple METVs.

You MIGHT run into issues bouncing out and back by air and I would use a land border IF you can for the bounces you need to make on this visa to get the most out of it (obviously you can't bounce out and back in at a border with Malaysia)

On your METV, you can cross any way you want; land or air as often as you want. You may get question though, so bring the triple proofs

In general, no. But actual entry is also related to your visa and entry history.
