Does this mean that my attempt to border bounce for an extra 30+30 days needs to be through somewhere other than HK, Laos, Macau, Russia, Vietnam, an Mongolia? So Cambodia is okay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the recent changes to Thailand's visa rules and the ability to border bounce for an extension. Users clarify that while certain countries (like HK, Laos, Macau, Russia, Vietnam, and Mongolia) may restrict extensions for 30-day exempt entries, Cambodia is still viable for border bouncing. It is noted that travelers can only receive two 30-day exemption stamps per calendar year at land borders, and extensions may not be available for those who entered via land borders.

I see that too, but the law does not specify that point. Only time will tell. Or a person who goes there and try to extend an entry via land border.

What is the reason for words "entered at airport"? As i understand, it may mean that only exempt stamps received from airport can get extension now.

Correct. You can not extend a tourist Visa if you do not have one. If you read the complete sign than you understand it.

Ah okay. Cool.

So I'm fine,

And my friend is fine? He's Brazilian (automatic 90 days) but just left to hang out in Vientnam for a few days (after being here for 30 days). He will still be able to finish his 60 days? Or will he get a new 90?

he'll get a new 90 days when he flies in. people from Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina and South Korea get 90 day visa exempt entry stamps not 30.

I believe that signage means people from Hong Kong, Lao, Macau, Russia, Vietnam & Mongolia who get a 30 day visa exempt entry when they arrive in thailand CAN'T get a 30 day extension.

don't confuse the ability to get a 30 day extension at the Chiang Mai immigration office with your ability to go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in&out of another country and stamp right back into thailand to get a 30 day visa exempt stamp.
