Good morning,

Is a medical certificate now required for a retirement extension? I've seen a couple of posts that indicate that, or does it depend on the immigration office. Khon Kaen didn't require it last time. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a medical certificate for a retirement visa extension in Thailand can vary by immigration office. In Khon Kaen, it was not required last time, while other areas like Samui and Suratthani do require it. Some comments indicate that Kanchanaburi may require it and others, like Chiang Mai, do not.
