How can I get an appointment to extend my retirement visa in Chiang Mai?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I am trying to get an appointment to extend my retirement visa in Chiang Mai but I can't seem to find a way to do it.Anyone?
Answer summary
The process of extending a retirement visa in Chiang Mai has presented some challenges regarding appointments. While some suggested using the online appointment system via the immigration bureau's website, others found that appointments were fully booked until April/May. A few users recommended simply visiting the immigration office early in the morning around 7:30 am, as this might be more efficient than securing an appointment. However, there were mixed experiences with the appointment system and walk-in visits, indicating variability in the process.

I went into Chiang Mai Immigration a week before I was planning to renew. Had some questions and the very helpful guy at the desk added it was a waste of time making an appointment. I didn't ask why but ..... just get there at 7.30am, get a number and it shouldn't take too long.
Last week it was something of a circus at document checking so don't be much after 7.30! It only took 50 minutes once I was inside to be on my way!
