Has anyone ever tried to acquire a criminal background check from their home country while located in Thailand for the Non-B working visa. Is that still a requirement at the moment?

Thank you,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a criminal background check when applying for a Non-B working visa in Thailand can vary by country. It's not universally required by Thai authorities but may be requested by employers. Some countries, like the USA and the UK, allow applicants to obtain background checks online.

UK can do online. Basic check £23. Result on line. Can print off and also get paper copy posted to your UK address.

It's not needed in Thailand unless your employer requests it specifically. An American can do it online and mail his/her fingerprints to the States.
