Hi, everyone. I am South African. I need to do my final NON B run 13th of December. I have police clearance from home. But I've been getting suggestions that I might have to get one from Thai police. a recent one. Is that true? Thanx..

TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African expat is inquiring about the need for a recent police clearance from Thai authorities when applying for a NON B visa. Responses indicate that a police clearance from the home country is sufficient, and a Thai police clearance is not needed unless the individual has been working in Thailand for six months or more. The original clearance must be less than six months old.

As far as I find on Embassy websites it is Police clearance from Home country for applying for a Visa.

I hear and read also many things, most of them wrong. But I can only hope for you they do not chop and change the rules the moment you walk in.
