Is a 24-hour exit notice stamp affecting my DTV application in Thailand?

Great! After months of preparation for my application, I just got this funny stamp while exiting Thailand. I was supposed to leave on Oct 22, but am leaving today 23 because my exit day was not clear, as you all can see.

Now I have one more thing to worry about, even though this is technically not an overstay (?). That's what I was told by the immigration officer. They said this is just a 24h notice to leave the country.😮‍💨

Anyone had one of these on the passport and still was successful on your DTV application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster received a 24-hour exit notice stamp after leaving Thailand, which occurred one day later than their allowed exit date. Despite being reassured by immigration that this was not considered an overstay, they are concerned about its potential effect on their Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) application. Commenters discuss the implications of such a stamp, share personal experiences with similar situations, and highlight the importance of adhering to travel regulations to avoid complications.

Am i missing something here?

I dont understand how so many people do this to themselves. Just leave the country when you are supposed to and you wont have issues.

Edited [re-read the post]

89 days after 25th Jul is 22nd Oct

You have a Brazilian passport (or another country that allows a 90 day visa waiver

The stamp in Thai underneath translates to something like “overstay but fine waived as less than 24 hours”.

Entry stamp clearly says you can stay until
*****
, therefore it is an overstay, rules are rule. What if you book a flight for a date and turn up the next day, do you expect the plane to be still there?

John Villinger the only reason you know the day clearly is because I said I was supposed to leave on 22. The IO herself wasn't able to decidedly say what was my exit date as it's blurred. She had to check on her system twice!

No, that is not true, even idf there was no stamp at all it would be easy to calculate. A lot of free calculators at the internet if you find it difficult to do yourself.

Just fill in 25-07-2025 as start date (day 1) and at 89 days and you will get as answer day 90 on which you have to leave.

They haven’t got a DTV yet. They got stamped in for 90 days on a visa waiver (Brazil and a few other countries get this).

I had a one day overstay stamp on my passport and was still approved on my first application in Bali. No problems entering on the visa.

Anonymous participant 134 I'm curious regarding your Bali application is the salary required 140,000 or do you have to be willing to invest that in Bali in order to qualify for the digital nomad Visa?

It shouldn’t be an issue for a DTV, but the more of these stamps you have, the more scrutiny you’ll face at the borders. Holding a visa doesn’t clear you from your past history or potential questioning. That's an overstay of less than 24h with fine waiver. It's less important than a long overstay but more than simply sticking to the rules and your stamp's limits.

Anonymous participant 598 totally false, there is no negative impact from having an "under 24 hours overstay fine waived" stamp in your passport, none at all

How can you be sure of that? Next times on entering it might influence IO in his or her opinion.
