Just got my SETV from penang wanted to let you know guys
-I had all my documents ready✅ + I have no overstays or any visa rejection on my passport ✅but I was questioned why I was in thailand for long time and I explained them my reasons.✅
-Today when I went to pick it up I was asked to wait and I could tell something was wrong. Then I was asked to show a ticket back to my home country if I wanted to get the visa.
-There is a van waiting in the front. Someone there told me he can help with the ticket right there but he has 70 ringgit service fee.
-Anyways I wasn't interested in that I was walking away to find a taxi and go back to my hotel and handle the flight ticket issue. Then security guy called me back, when I went inside they said let us ask again maybe they can help so you don't had to go all the way back. So I waited and finally I got my visa!! THANK YOU THAILAND 😍
-But my passport was marked as in the photo, so my question is do you think would this affect my future trips? (I know it'd affect for Thailand obviously but I mean from Europe, New Zealand, USA or other asian countries etc...
And my other question do you think could I get 1 last extension on this visa?
And I'd like to leave my advice for you here;
-Definetly have ALL the documents! They wouldn't tolerate anything. Flight tickets in and out, accommodation, bank statement, copy of id page and malaysia stamp page, 2 photo.
-Maybe penang is more strict than others or maybe all embassies are getting so strict I don't know... I am saying this not because of myself but because I saw another girl there get marked at the passport as me and she only had 1 entry stamp+1 visa, she was from brunei.
I wish you all good luck and lovely time in this beautiful country! <3
Thanks a lot for advices :) 🙏
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their experience obtaining a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) from Penang, despite being questioned about their long stay in Thailand. They successfully received the visa after initially being asked to show a return ticket. They express concerns about having a red warning stamp in their passport and its potential impact on future visa applications to various countries, including Thailand. Several commenters provide reassurance that the stamp mainly affects future Thai tourist visa applications and not those from other countries, while also emphasizing the importance of having all required documents for visa applications.
