VISA RENEWAL QUES: My wife works at a Bangkok international school under a Non-Immigrant Visa-B. I am a non-working spouse with an O visa. Our visas expire on June 30. How soon before June 30 can the school representative apply for our renewals? I need to be back in the States before May 1 and I'm being told that the renewal process cannot start prior to 30 days before expiration.

Many thanks for any information.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A question was raised about the visa renewal timing for a Non-Immigrant Visa-B and an O visa in Thailand, with a specific deadline of May 1 for returning to the U.S. The response indicated that applications can be submitted during the last 45 days prior to expiration, suggesting that the necessary documentation should be prepared and presented to expedite the process.

In Bangkok people can apply during the last 45 days.

I would say, get all documents ready, have the proof you have to leave 1 may and give it a try.

Thanks Robert. FYI, my visa has been processed in late April before, always with a June 30 expiration.

@Brad *******
that's awfully early 😕

as a rule Chaengwattana won't budge on the 45 days or less

I saw them send a person away who was 46 days away from his extension expiring and told him to come back tomorrow
